The hotel itself feels like someone took a 4-star property and actually cared about the details that matter. Check-in was refreshingly quick (no endless forms), and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions. The rooms are what I’d call “smartly designed” – not huge, but everything’s where it should be, and the beds are properly comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty. What surprised me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re in a pretty lively neighborhood. The soundproofing actually works, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always a given in this price range.

Here’s the thing that’ll make or break your stay: the location is perfect if you want to experience Baku like locals do, but you’ll need to walk or grab a taxi to hit the major tourist spots. The Old City’s about a 15-minute ride, and getting to places like Park Bulvar takes maybe 10 minutes by car. But honestly? I loved being able to step out and grab proper Azerbaijani breakfast at the little places nearby, then come back to a genuinely comfortable base. The sea views from the restaurant area during sunset are – and I’m not exaggerating here – pretty spectacular. You get that golden hour light hitting the Caspian that makes you understand why people fall in love with this city. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a couple days; it’s not flashy or trying too hard, just consistently good at being exactly what a solid 4-star should be.

  What could be improved: DIFFERENT APARTMENT FROM THE ONE IN THE PICTURES. We had to wait 45 minutes for them to allow us in, even though we informed them, as instructed, 30 minutes before arrival. The stove doesn't work. No kettle to boil water in the apartment either. There were no blackout curtains on the bedroom balcony doors, so everyone woke up at 5 am. as the sun shines from the bedroom side.
