Honestly, when I first walked up to the building on İnşaatçılar prospekti, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the address looked a bit intimidating with all those details, but it’s actually pretty straightforward once you’re there. The Izmir Apartment sits on the third floor of a solid residential building in Yasamal, and you know what struck me immediately? How quiet it was compared to the bustling streets just a few blocks away. I mean, you’re still close enough to everything that matters in Baku, but there’s this nice buffer from the constant city hum.

The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that’s way better than sterile hotel rooms – you can tell someone actually thought about how people live, not just where they sleep for a night. The kitchen setup is surprisingly well-equipped (I made coffee every morning, which honestly saved me from hunting down decent espresso in an unfamiliar neighborhood), and the whole place has these little touches that make you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re crashing at a friend’s place. What really impressed me was how the owner seemed to anticipate the small stuff travelers actually need – proper lighting for reading, enough outlets near the bed, decent water pressure in the shower. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to navigate a new city or video call home.

Location-wise, you’re in a sweet spot that locals know but tourists often miss. Yasamal has this authentic Baku vibe without being too far from the Old City or the Flame Towers – though honestly, I ended up spending more time exploring the neighborhood cafes and small shops within walking distance. The building’s entrance is easy to find during the day, though I’d recommend getting detailed directions for your first arrival if you’re coming in after dark (the street numbers aren’t always super obvious). Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but that’s pretty much standard for this part of the city. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it delivers on everything it promises, and then some. You’ll sleep well, have space to actually unpack and settle in, and wake up feeling like you’ve got a real base to explore from rather than just a place to crash between tourist activities.

  The owner of the property demonstrated exceptional hospitality and provided service that was higher than I expected. Traveled to many pleases inside USA and abroad, mainly using apartments for short stays instead of hotels, however, haven't seen such as great and professional approach by owner. I honestly think that owners aim was not only making money, but also make me fill that I'm at home!

  Elvina, always available to answer any question and will check during the stay if anything is needed, the apartment is cozy and located in a decent area accessible to many shops and 24/7 supermarkets and not very far from the center, it had all I needed for my 5 nights stay equipped with all functional appliances and most importantly the quiet sleep as it is overlooking a courtyard away from the traffic noise, highly recommended if you want to have your own accommodation with value and reasonable price in Baku.

  Apartment is very clear and quite. Price quality ratio is excellent! Kitchen was equipped with all needed for simple cooking for breakfast or light dinner. Autonomous system of hot water and heating. The host was very helpful and hospitable.

  We stood here for less than 12 hours… Arrived late in the evening after the flight, and went on early in the morning. But the stay was great. We were nicely welcomed by the host even though it was quite late, the apartment was huge and had everything we might had needed. And the location is perfect. Highly recommended!
