The location on N.Aliyev street is honestly perfect if you actually want to experience the city rather than just see it from a tour bus window. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the Old City walls, and there’s this little bakery two blocks down that locals line up at every morning around 8 AM – the smell of fresh bread drifts up to the apartment windows, which is a pretty nice way to wake up. The building itself is one of those solid Soviet-era structures that’s been thoughtfully updated, so you get the charm of high ceilings and thick walls (seriously, it’s quiet even when the street gets busy) without dealing with sketchy plumbing or unreliable wifi.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels lived-in rather than staged. The apartment – it’s flat 34, third floor, no elevator but the stairs aren’t terrible – has those small touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. I’m talking about things like having a decent coffee setup, not just some sad instant packets, and bathroom products that don’t smell like industrial cleaner. The host clearly knows what travelers need because there are extra phone chargers, the shower has proper water pressure, and honestly the bed is more comfortable than what you’d find in most chain hotels. The whole space gets great light in the afternoons, and if you’re working remotely or just want to sit with a book, the living area has this cozy setup by the windows where you can watch the neighborhood come alive.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re not just getting a place to sleep, you’re getting dropped right into how Baku actually works. The produce market is close enough that you can grab fresh pomegranates and herbs if you want to cook (the kitchen is fully equipped, not just for show), but you’re also surrounded by family-run restaurants where pointing at what looks good usually works better than trying to navigate a menu. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider that this place delivers on the stuff that actually matters: it’s clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to understand that small details make a big difference. Sure, it’s not going to have a marble lobby or concierge service, but when you’re exploring the Flame Towers or wandering through Icherisheher, you’ll appreciate coming back to somewhere that feels more like a home base than a hotel room.

  Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, blisko do Heydar Aliyev Center – spacerkiem jakieś 15 minut. W niewielkiej odległości 3 supermarkety, czynne również w niedzielę. Dojazd Boltem do Old Town to koszt ok 4-5 manatów. Apartament bardzo dobrze wyposażony (żelazko, szlafroki, ręczniki, klimatyzacja w każdym pokoju). Duża kuchnia równie dobrze wyposażona. Przemiły właściciel, świetny kontakt. Bardzo udany pobyt! Dziękujemy!
