Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of airport hotels over the years, and honestly? Most of them feel like you’re sleeping in a waiting room. But FLY INN BAKU actually gets it right – and I mean, really right. When you’re dealing with those brutal layovers or early morning flights out of Heydar Aliyev, this place is basically a lifesaver.

The thing is, being right at the airport sounds terrible in theory, but they’ve somehow managed to make it work. You know what I love? You can literally walk to your terminal in minutes, which means you can sleep until like 6 AM for a 7:30 flight instead of panicking about traffic from downtown Baku. The soundproofing is surprisingly solid too – I was expecting jet engine symphonies all night, but honestly, I slept better here than at some city center places where you’ve got honking cars and late-night revelers. The rooms have this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard to be fancy. Good blackout curtains (thank god), decent Wi-Fi that actually works, and the beds are properly comfortable, not those rock-hard things you sometimes get at airport spots.

What really impressed me was how they handle the little things. The staff genuinely seems to understand that most guests are either exhausted from travel or stressed about catching flights – they’re quick with check-in, helpful with wake-up calls, and I swear the front desk guy knew the exact walking time to every terminal. The restaurant stays open late, which is clutch when you land at 11 PM and everything else around the airport is shuttered. It’s not fancy cuisine or anything, but the plov is actually decent and they make a solid breakfast spread. Plus, you’re not completely stuck – there’s a small convenience store right in the hotel lobby, and if you need anything else, the main airport terminal has more options than you’d expect for Baku.

Here’s the thing that sold me on this place: it’s not trying to be something it’s not. It knows exactly what travelers need – clean rooms, reliable service, minimal hassle – and delivers on all of that without the inflated prices you see at some airport hotels. The 9.3 rating isn’t just because people are grateful to find any decent place near the airport; it’s because they’ve actually thought through what makes an airport hotel work. I mean, would I plan a romantic getaway here? Obviously not. But for transit stays, business trips, or when you’ve got those ungodly early departures, this is exactly where you want to be. Next time I’m routing through Baku, I’m booking here again without even looking at other options.

  Very near the airport, you can walk there or use their free shuttle service which was very efficient. Good size room, very quiet. Good swimming pool and various steam rooms. Very nice and friendly staff.

  We were given a room we asked for, so we were happy. My partner was able to do a bit of plane spotting on our last night of holiday.
  The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
  Breakfast was ample and varied.
  We took a bolt taxi into the centre ( mad drivers) very cheaply and saw the major sights.
  We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was OK your normal airport hotel kind of fayre.
  We didn't get to use the facilities unfortunately but the pool looked lovely.

  We stayed here the night before an early morning flight and were blown away by the comfort and facilities offered. The hotel offers transfers to the Departure terminal which takes only a few minutes.. amazing! We checked in about one, spent time in the gorgeous pool complex and met family for dinner. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I really recommend this hotel.
