You know what surprised me about this little studio on Zərifə Əliyeva? It’s actually got one of the best sea views in this part of Sabayil, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But man, that 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’re standing at that window in the morning with your coffee, watching the Caspian stretch out in front of you. The location is pretty brilliant too – you’re right in the thick of things but on a side street that doesn’t get the crazy traffic noise from the main boulevards.

I mean, let’s be real about what you’re getting here. It’s cozy in the best possible way, not the “we’re calling it cozy because it’s tiny” way. The studio setup actually works really well, especially if you’re the type who likes having everything within arm’s reach. The sea view isn’t just a glimpse either – it’s properly framed by the window, and during sunset (which happens around 7:30 in summer), the light just floods the whole space. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re so central. The building seems solid, and the neighbors are respectful – none of that thin-wall nightmare you sometimes get in city center accommodations.

The thing about staying in Sabayil is that you’re walking distance from basically everything that matters. Fountain Square is maybe ten minutes on foot, the Old City walls are right there, and honestly, some of the best little tea houses are just around the corner on the smaller streets. I found this amazing bakery two blocks down that opens at 6 AM – perfect for grabbing fresh bread before the tourist crowds hit the main attractions. The host clearly knows the neighborhood well too, because the check-in came with all these local tips that you won’t find in guidebooks. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area (like most of central Baku), but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re patient. What really sold me on the place was just how… comfortable it felt. You know when a space has been set up by someone who actually cares about the details? The lighting works for both working and relaxing, there’s proper storage that makes sense, and the sea breeze comes through just right when you crack the windows. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying in for your morning coffee longer than planned, just watching the city wake up over the water.

  The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and we had everything we needed. The view was also very nice! All the amenities advertised were complete, and the wifi was fast. The location was superb, and everything was within walking distance. There were many dining options and grocery stores around the area.
  We also want to thank the host, Ms. Rusha, she was thoughtful and very helpful.
  We would definitely stay here again when we return to Baku.
  
  What could be improved: Only the elevator had a few issues, but it was fixed immediately.

  В этих апартаментах мы встречали 2025 год. Очень вежливая,приятная и радушная хозяйка. С момента бронирования всегда была на связи. Все очень понравилось: отличное месторасположение в шаговой доступности от основных достопримечательностей, рядом с бульваром (из окон видно Каспийское море, также мы смотрели новогодний салют),недалеко находятся торговые центры и маленькие продуктовые магазины.Поскольку мы были зимой отдельно хочу отметить наличие отопления( было очень тепло). Очень было тепло и в санузле(горячая вода всегда и наличие теплого пола).Отличный Wi-Fi,есть необходимое наличие посуды и столовых приборов,также чай,кофе,сахар,соль, полный набор предметов личной гигиены,включая одноразовые тапочки. Отдельно хотим отметить очень удобную кровать,нам было очень комфортно.

  I liked how friendly the host was and how she showed me everything about the flat, including how to use the washer dryer. She also had someone meet me in the courtyard and take my suitcase up to the flat.

  L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter le centre de Bakou, a pied ou en métro. L'appartement est grand, très propre et la chambre très confortable. La propriétaire, Rusha nous a préparé notre séjour et nous a très bien accueillie. Elle est toujours disponible pour nous aider. Nous sommes très heureux de l'avoir rencontrée, on s'est senti comme chez nous ! Merci pour les cadeaux avant notre départ !! Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement pour les voyageurs.

  Расположение апартаментов одно из лучших в Баку . Сам дом с историей в нем жил в свое время Гейдар Алиев со своей супругой .
  
  What could be improved: Это не относится к самим апартаментам , но в Баку очень шумно до часу ночи , машины очень шумные и постоянно сигналят. Если кто то к шуму города не привык , нужно выбирать апартаменты с окнами во двор .

  Location was great, hosts were perfect ,super helpful and friendly! Nice, clean, spacious apartment where every detail is thought of, we didn't have a single disappointment! Highly recommended especially for couples/solo travellers who want to stay in the heart of the city and like walking everywhere on foot (almost all tourist attractions are within walking distance as well as supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops etc. We had a great stay and will for sure come back to Baku and to this accommodation !
  
  What could be improved: A little bit noisy from the street, but it didn't bother us personally at all (as we are from a big city), but people with sleeping issues could find it difficult to fall asleep.

  Great location. Bright, modern spacious one bed, so not a studio at all. Everything you would need is in the apartment. Great views from the roof terrace. Wonderful caring host, Rusha, who was really concerned that I had a good and comfortable stay.

  I stayed in four different hotels in Baku and this was my favourite. The apartment is large, very clean and with a very comfortable bed. There is also a washer/dryer in the kitchen, which is really convenient. Location is exceptional, in the city centre of Baku and 2 minutes walk from Sahil metro. Finally, the owner of the apartment is really kind, responsive and easy to communicate with. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Baku!
