Badam d’Art Boutique Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Badam d’Art? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s this perfectly curated blend of artistic flair and that warm, welcoming vibe that good boutique hotels nail. I mean, you’re staying in the Badamdar area, which honestly feels like Baku’s best-kept secret. It’s far enough from the Old City chaos that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you to all the main attractions without breaking the bank.
The building itself sits in this residential maze that had me second-guessing my GPS at first – but that’s actually part of the charm. Once you find it tucked away in the 11th district, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something special. The lobby hits you with this boutique art hotel vibe they’re clearly going for, and honestly, they pull it off without being pretentious about it. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend calling ahead if you’re arriving late because the neighborhood gets pretty quiet after dark. The rooms – well, they’ve definitely put thought into the details. Everything feels deliberately chosen rather than just ordered from some hotel catalog, if that makes sense.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to actually know the city. Not just the tourist spots, but they pointed me toward this amazing local restaurant about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise. The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with over-the-top luxury, but there’s something refreshingly authentic about the place. Parking was easier than I expected for Baku, which is saying something. The area gets pretty residential-quiet in the evenings, so you’re not dealing with street noise, though you might hear the occasional neighbor – it’s a real neighborhood, after all. I’d definitely stay again, especially since the location gives you this nice balance of feeling like you’re experiencing actual Baku life while still being pampered a bit. Just don’t expect massive resort amenities – this is boutique done right, which means thoughtful touches over sheer size.

Absolutely loved our stay at the fabulous Badam d'Art Boutique Hotel in Baku. Their location a few kms away from the old city, on a slope, means that you have a view of all Baku. The indoor garden at the reception creates quite the impact. The rooms with the view have retro style, big bathrooms.
The staff are fantastic. The level of service we got was unexpected and so welcome. Especially Nurlan Ali (being the main person on staff who spoke English) who helped us all the way, starting from interacting with me on booking.com to organising all the drivers, who were all lovely people. Nurlan even sacrificed a lot of his afternoon sleep when the driver needed help understanding what we wanted, as he was on the night shift. And a shoutout to our drivers, Elvin and Ilcin for really going above and beyond to care of us, including on New Year’s Eve and in sweet shops and food courts!
The breakfast at the hotel is a selection of fresh veggies, breads, eggs, meat, butter and spreads that we enjoyed everyday.
Can’t recommend this place enough!
What could be improved: very little to not like… the mini bar light is on all night and faces the bed. which may bother you if you want complete darkness, can hang something over it or ask them to turn it off entirely.Superb – Laura from Slovakia – 3 October 2022 (9/10)
All good. Staff was nice. When I asked to postpone my check out, they did 🙂
awesome loved it – Bhoira from Saudi Arabia – 30 September 2022 (7/10)

What could be improved: the ac did not work as expectedVery good enjoyable stay. – Tomon from United Arab Emirates – 18 August 2022 (9/10)
The location was nice and calm with a beautiful view over the city and sea. The best part of this hotel was the staff who were very courteous and accommodating despite of language barrier. Special mention for Xivier & Nulan from Reception & Raid from the restaurant. Real assets to the hotel.
What could be improved: – Delay in room services like water, etc
– Language barrier with staff except mentioned above
